An Eco-hood Does Good!

An Eco-hood Does Good! ‍

A Design and Build Sustainability Project for Young Learners

The Four Pillars

  • To teach environmental awareness and encourage Earth stewardship.

  • ‍To improve interpersonal relations and foster a stronger, more enduring sense of selfhood and community.

  • To introduce the idea of planning, designing, and actualizing a village community in an urban setting.

  • To engage students in hands-on building activities to encourage imagination, ideation and possibility thinking.

Largely out of recycled materials, young people design an ecologically vibrant community model based on their collective vision. They are encouraged to dream up something wonderful……...a place of safety, beauty, friendship and support for all would-be residents.

Participants build community in more ways than one!
